The Port Hope Agricultural Society is proud to support the future of agriculture by offering an annual $1000 bursary to a deserving student pursuing an agriculture-related education. Our goal is to invest in the next generation of leaders who are passionate about agriculture and committed to making a difference in their communities.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be 25 years of age or younger
Be a resident of Northumberland County
Be enrolled in (or planning to attend) an agriculture-related program at an accredited Canadian
college or university
Eligible programs may include:
Degrees (B.Sc. or B.A.) in:
Agriculture
Crop Sciences
Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems
Other related fields
Diplomas or Certificates in:
Agriculture
Sustainable Agriculture
Agricultural Equipment Technician
Other related programs
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Selection Criteria
Applications will be reviewed based on:
Community involvement
Leadership experience
Participation in agricultural activities, organizations, or initiatives
We’re looking for individuals who are not only passionate about agriculture but are actively
contributing to their communities.
Bursary Details
The bursary will be awarded after the successful completion of one year in an eligible program
Proof of second-year enrollment is required before funds are distributed
