Females:

  1. Heifer Calf: Born after January 1st 2026. Minimum of 3 Months of Age
  2. Heifer- Born between April 1st 2025 to December 31st 2025
  3. Heifer- Born January 1st 2025 to March 31st 2025
  4. Two-year-old born with Natural 2026 Calf at side- Born January 1, 2024 to December 31 2024
  5. Cow with Natural 2025 Calf at side- Born before December 31 2025. Calves with cows in classes 6 & 7 are not eligible to show in classes 1 & 3.

Goat Show

This show is sanctioned by the Canadian Goat Society, and C.G.S rules shall govern

  1. Exhibitors must pay the Port Hope & District Agricultural Society $10 membership fee
  2. Animals must be on grounds by 10am. There will be a vet check between 10am and 11am
  3. There is no limit to the number of animals entered in each class or the number of classes entered. Prize money will be paid to the 2 highest placing animals
  4. All animals over 6 months must have original registration papers on site.
  5. Entries can be mailed to Pat McClean P.O. Box 283 Port Hope, ON L1A 3W4 to arrive by September 1st 2026.
  6. Market animals cannot be shown in dairy classes

  8. Champion Challenge, Finished Champion gets to compete with GCH of the day for best of the breed.

  • Come and see what a day in the life of a dairy farmer includes.
  • Dairy cattle of all ages will be on display for you to interact with
  • You can pet a baby calf or a full-grown cow
  • Learn about and tough the food a cow eats to produce the milk you love
  • Discover how much milk a cow produces in one day. Recognize the difference breeds of dairy cattle and their specific breed traits
  • Enjoy the hands-on educational exhibits and displays
  • Go “next door” to see the milking demonstrations
