President’s Message

The Port Hope and District Agricultural Society is looking forward to hosting its traditional fair event.
The Directors, Associate Directors and Volunteers have been diligently planning and preparing the perfect blend
of fun, excitement and education. Our 189th Fair is the perfect opportunity to re-engage in the community, learn
new things, and have fun!
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people tried new things from home canning, preparing healthy meals, learning about agriculture and focusing on where our food grows. Many of us have learned how to grow plants and
flowers or vegetables. Or perhaps you have developed your creative/artistic side, whether it’s through Art, Photography, Crafts or Needlework. We’re excited to showcase your creative work at our fair, and for anyone interested, we hope you become an exhibitor and show off your new talents.
There is so much to see and do. Come and explore the Agricultural Fair, browse the exhibits and displays, take in the demonstrations, competitions, petting farm, midway, shows, and entertainment and enjoy a relaxing, educational and entertaining day!
The Port Hope and District Agricultural Society is very grateful for the support and contribution provided by its many volunteers, sponsors, community members, organizations, the Municipality of Port Hope, Federal and Provincial agencies and everyone that visits our fair.
Be sure to mark September 16th to 18th, 2022, on your calendar and be part
of our 189th Port Hope Fair. We look forward to seeing you there.

Connie Martinell, President
