School Displays
Cameco Corporation sponsors this category and donates $30 to each participating school depicting the 2018 Port Hope Fair theme – Country Roots & Cowboy Boots
To ensure sufficient space is available (display board approximately 2.5 m X 1.5 m with table space below), please notify the Junior Competition Director by September 12, 2018 of your intent to participate.
We look forward to an attractive display of daily school work involving printing, art, posters and craft projects. Displays must be submitted between 1 to 3 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday September 13, or 9 to 11 am on Friday September 14 and picked up between 4:30 and 5:30 pm on Sunday September 16.
Scarecrow Competition
Open to All Families – (Please note: group entries are welcome, but are not done by a family so will not be judged.) Remember the theme – Country Roots & Cowboy Boots
Large Scarecrow – 1 metre / 39 inches or taller!
Must include at least 2 fruits or vegetables
1st prize $25 donated by Liz and Dan Stewart, 2nd prize $15 donated by Connie Martinell, 3rd prize $10 donated by Subway Sandwiches & Salads, Port Hope
Miniature Scarecrow – 50 to 80 cm (20 to 32 inches) tall including stand.
Must include at least 2 fruits or vegetables

Children's Pet Show
Sunday September 16th, 2018 at 12 noon

Pet Show rules
- This show is for children under 14 accompanied by an adult.
- Entries will be accepted the morning of the Pet show between 11 and 12 o’clock.
- Dogs must be leashed. Cats, rabbits and other animals must be caged. Cats should not be removed from cages unless they are also on a leash or harness.
- All animals must have appropriate and current vaccinations. Dogs and cats must be up to date on Rabies vaccination.
- All entries will receive a prize.
- The Judges decisions are final. Prizes to be awarded at the end of each class. Best in Show awards for all sections are awarded based on the health and behavior of the animal as well as pet owner’s knowledge and care.

Pedal Tractor Pull for Children

No entry fee
Registration for Pedal Tractor Pull will be one half hour before pedal pull time on the track near the Tennis Courts.
Only the first 20 children to register in each class will be qualified to participate.
- Class #1 40 -55 lbs
- Class #2 56 -75 lbs
- Class #3 76 -90 lbs
Child will be weighed at time of registration to determine class.
