Cameco Corporation sponsors this category and donates $30 to each participating school depicting the 2019 theme, 225th Wheat Harvest.
To ensure sufficient space is available (display area, 2.5m x 1.5m with table space below), please notify the Junior Competition Director prior to September 6, 2019 of your intent to participate.
We look forward to an attractive display of daily school work involving printing, art, posters, craft projects. Displays must be submitted between 1 to 3 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday September 12 or 9 to 11 am on Friday September 13 and picked up between 4:30 and 5:30 pm on Sunday September 15.

Children's Pet Show

Pet Show rules
- This show is for children 13 years and under who are accompanied by an adult.
- Entries will be accepted 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm – Dog owners have until 1:30 pm to register.
- All dogs must be leashed. All other pets must come in a pet carrier. Cats should not be removed from the carrier unless on a leashed harness.
- All cats and dogs must have current vaccinations, especially a recent rabies vaccination.
- All entries will receive a prize.
- The Judges decisions are final. Prizes to be awarded at the end of each class.

Cats are judged on:
eyes, whisker looks and length, unusual coat markings, tail length and prettiest tail, grooming including nails, temperament, weight, height, age, and hair coat length
Dogs are judged on:
height, weight, tricks pet can do, tail length, grooming including nails, hair coat
length, behaviour, temperament, and ear look and length
awards for Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils,rats, reptiles, others (you bring it and you can show it)
Bunnies are judged on:
ear look and length, size, unusual markings, wiggliest nose, coat health
Best in Show for: Cats, Dogs, Pocket Pets, Bunnies
Most unusual pet – based on not only the health, and behaviour of pet but also the owner’s knowledge on how to care for the pet. Will be several trophies for different age classes.
Prizes consists of either medals, ribbons, trophies OR money.
The number of prizes for each of the above classes depends on the number of entries. All children’s pets will receive a prize.
Pedal Tractor Pull for Children

Registration for Pedal Tractor Pull will be one half hour before pedal pull time on the track near the Tennis Courts.
Only the first 20 children to register in each class will be qualified to participate.
- Class #1 40 -55 lbs
- Class #2 56 -75 lbs
- Class #3 76 -90 lbs
Child will be weighed at time of registration to determine class.
